Dog Treats:
Peanut Butter Poppers
2 cups whole-wheat flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 cup peanut butter (chunky or smooth)
1 cup milk
- Preheat oven to 375°
- In a bowl combine flour and baking powder
- In another bowl mix peanut butter and milk
- Then add to dry ingredients and mix well
- Place dough on a lightly floured surface and knead
- Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness
- Use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes
- Bake for 20 minutes on a greased baking sheet until lightly brown
- Cool on a rack then store in an airtight container
- I have found the cookies burn easily so watch your time
1-32oz. container of vanilla yogurt
1 cup of peanut butter
- Put the peanut butter in a microwave safe dish
- Microwave until melted
- Mix the yogurt and the melted peanut butter in a bowl
- Pour mixture into cupcake papers and freeze
Cat Treats:
Tuna Tidbits
6 ounce can of tuna
1/4 cup water drained from tuna
3 T cooked egg white, chopped
1/4 cup cornmeal
1/2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Combine tuna, egg white and water
- Add cornmeal and flour and blend to form dough
- Knead into a ball and roll to 1/4 inch thick
- Cut into one-inch sized pieces
- Bake at 350° for 20 minutes
- Makes 12 cookies
Savory Cheese Treats
3/4 cup white flour
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
5 Tbsp Grated Parmesan Cheese
1/4 Cup Plain Yogurt or Sour Cream
1/4 Cup Cornmeal
- Preheat the oven to 350°
- Combine cheeses and yogurt
- Add flour and cornmeal
- Knead dough into a ball and roll to 1/4 inch
- Cut into one inch sized pieces
- Place on greased cookie sheet
- Bake for 25 minutes
- Makes 2 dozen
