Christmas Tree Farm Must See!!

We went to our first you cut it Christmas tree farm this weekend and had a BLAST! It will now be a family tradition to go here every year. It was such an amazing experience that I had to share it with you!

Last week I wrote a blog about cutting your own tree and gave you a website for you to find one that was closest to you. This one is in Eustis, FL. It took us about 35 minutes from Orlando to get there and was well worth driving 2hrs for if we had to.

It is called Santa's Christmas Tree Forest. I was thinking an experience like this was going to cost a little more...I was very wrong! Most activities like the petting farm were free or were inexpensive like the horse or pony rides for $2.00.

They had so many fun free or inexpensive activities for the family. Besides, the petting farm and pony rides, they had a Christmas tree maze, a reindeer sled tractor ride which was SO adorable, they had meet Santa and Mrs. Clause for FREE and you could take your own picture with them on the sled for FREE, they had a hay pit that the kids could go into and throw hay at each other which was a blast!

We enjoyed having a hot chocolate and smores kit that you could buy for $1.25 and roast your marshmallow over a bon fire they had going or you could roast a hot dog for $1.00. They also had other food if you wanted to have lunch and a picnic and fresh popped Kettle Korn.

Going in to this I knew that the Florida trees were nothing like the northern trees. I thought the trees would be a little more pricey then normal, given the experience, but it was not! They were about $4.00 a foot.

This place offers you the experience to take a free hay ride to at least look at the trees and see if there is one you want. If you don't want one of the you cut it yourself trees they offer a huge variety of the northern trees that are already cut. But, unlike tree lots, these trees are brought in on refrigerated trucks and placed into water and they will run you the same price as any tree lot trees if not less. We ended up getting an 8ft pre-cut Frasier tree that is absolutely beautiful and smells amazing for $65.00.

I can't say enough about this wonderful tree farm. It was a great experience for our family, one that I am so happy to be able to go back every year and make it a family tradition. I know our kids will look forward to it! I hope you have the opportunity to check it out!
