I posted a blog a few days ago about a do it yourself non-toxic Draino recipe and everyone loved it. If you tried it out please leave a comment and let us know how it went! Once again Lifehacker posted this great link for a do-it-yourself cleaning kit.
Not only is this environmentally safe, but very economical! Most people already have the supplies to make this kit. Once you invest in the bottles you can save a ton of money on cleaning supplies. You can get these bottles at the dollar store. She says in the article, that this averages to one tenth of the cost of regular cleaning products.
Here is the link to the printable articles pdf it is from a website called care2.com. I can't wait to put my cleaning kit together.
Here is a list of the ingredients you will need:
White distilled vinegar
A good liquid soap or detergent
Tea tree oil
6 clean spray bottles
2 glass jars
Let me know if you put your cleaning kit together, or if you have any suggestions for any of your own environmentally safe products. I would love to hear from you!
