Welcome to My Blog!
The only difference I have found between myself and others is that I was raised in the kitchen, in the garden, and going to yard sales to shop... not department stores. I never once felt like I went without and I was never hungry. We were always clean. My mom always told me you don't have to be rich to be clean! Sometimes we only had vinegar & water to clean with, or baking soda to brush our teeth. But we were clean. It was just a different way of living. I have always been thankful for the way I was brought up. It has always made me appreciate what I have instead of what I don't have. I love the fact that I can take these things that I have learned and help others.
With the crisis now in our economy I have found that more and more people have been coming to me for ideas on how to make meals with hardly any grocery money, how to budget their life when it comes to food without compromising their desire to eat healthy. How to have a Garage sale. How to re-think the way they spend money without compromising their way of life.
When my daughter came along there was no question in my mind about feeding her homemade baby food. I'd never done it before and had to figure out how to make sure I fed her the things she needed nutritionally. Once I started doing it I found it was not only way cheaper then buying processed baby food but WAY healthier. I was so excited, I started sharing what I learned with other mothers right away.
It is my hope that this blog brings families back to the kitchen again, being thankful for what they have instead of what they don't!
I am also looking forward to learning a lot from all of my readers. Please leave me lots of comments and notes. If you see anything that needs improving on the site design or any bugs that you find, please shoot me an email right away (firstname.lastname@example.org). Also be aware that if you leave a comment, it might not appear on the website right away. Be patient, due to the amount of spam that blogs tend to get I have a filter that it goes through first. I definitely want to hear from you. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my blog!
