Easy Drop Biscuits

Have you ever had company spend the night and don't have any thing for breakfast? Well these would be your easiest solution, and a guaranteed hit!

A couple of weeks ago, we were invited over to Uncle Johnny and Aunt Debbie's house for breakfast, so I could try the famous Tomato gravy that Josh has talked about forever. The recipe is from his great grandma. I will be posting that soon, so keep your eye out, it is delicious!

With the gravy, Uncle Johnny made the best biscuits ever. I had to have the recipe. When he told me, I was so surprised, they were so easy! It reminded me that sometimes simple is better. The key is Self Rising Flour. It omits the baking powder and salt when you use this kind of flour.

There are a lot of things you can do with this recipe to make them different. You can add 1 Tbsp garlic, 1 Cup shredded cheese and make biscuits like Red Lobsters cheese biscuits. Cheese biscuits are great for a dinner party.

Try a little cinnamon, raisins, or dried cranberries. Or, try a Tbsp of any kind of herb like Rosemary, Oregano, Basil, or Cayenne for a little kick. The list is endless you can add just about anything to this biscuit mixture.

But, I think you will find that these are just as good by themselves. Thanks Uncle Johnny for the recipe. If you try these out let us know we would love to hear from you. Enjoy!
