Good to be back!

It is good to be back writing again! Oh how I have missed you readers...and oh how I have missed cooking!!

You don't realize the things that are really enjoyable in your life until you take them away for a few weeks. But, it makes it that much more special to you when you come back. It creates a new excitement within yourself and it revives that

passion!

So, I took some time off to have my 2nd precious baby girl! Her name is Lyla Marie and she was born Feb 15th. 8lb 13oz. She is truly a blessing!

This time off has given me some new ideas for some new things to share with you guys this year including:

  • More healthy baby food making tips and tips on raising a baby the 1st year. You will be walking with me on this journey this year and I will share my failures and encouraging findings that I hope will help both of us along the way.
  • I am going to start doing some more exotic and ethnic dishes but still keep them simple and budget friendly! That is the thought anyway. Not sure how that will turn out you know I am a country girl but I will share my process with you on that journey also. God knows I love all kinds of foods! I love food in general...which leads me to my last goal this year with the blog...
  • I am back to creating healthy recipes to lose the baby weight! When I started this blog I had just lost my first baby weight and had recipes to share with you. But, this time you get to be a part of it. I also hope that along my journey you will share yours with me so we can do it together. I did this before with a healthy, low carb diet, incorporating vegetables.
  • As always my goal with this blog is to get people in the kitchen again and cooking with their families! Making it simple and not complicated. Creating recipes that are budget friendly and healthy at the same time. So with my new goals of baby food, ethnic and exotic food, and low carb I will still keep this blog about making it easy and doable in the eyes of my readers.
During the past few weeks we had so many wonderful meals delivered to our home and made from our friends and family. I shared the site with you before and if you have not checked it out do so. It is a great way to bless someone who is going through a difficult time and is in need of help with meals. It is www.TakeThemAMeal.com. This is an INCREDIBLE site! It is free and very user friendly! It was such a gracious and very much appreciated service during this transition time. Some even started bringing meals before the baby was born which was a huge help in itself because I was not doing very much cooking at all!

So, my first few recipes back, I am going to share some dishes of food that were brought to our home and shared by others. I am just starting back in the kitchen so you will have to stay tuned for my new and exciting creations!

Thank you for reading and sharing my blog and letting me be a part of your families lives in the kitchen and in the home. I look forward to this exciting journey ahead of myself this year with now a 2yr old and newborn and I look forward to sharing my experiences with you so that we can learn together :)
